The BOCOTALKS series this month is presented by Regina Cook, Administrative Officer for Training Solutions at Virginia Western Community College, School of Career & Corporate Training. Regina Cook will take a hard look at soft skills and how they apply to new business models presently emerging. She will also capture the wonderfully refreshing domain of reverse mentoring, that is being installed at many regional organizations for ideation, innovation, and smooth transfer of tacit knowledge during the 'grey tsunami'.


BOCOTALKS features a video presentation to be watched prior to the in-person networking event at Tizzone. Regina will lead a discussion on this important topic at the event. Appetizers are included in the ticket price. Drinks may be purchased at the venue. Tickets are $15 Members, $20 future members.

    Regina is also an experienced corporate trainer, instructional designer, and content
    developer with a robust, demonstrated history, an awarded Adult Learning Training Specialist, former
    Instructor and Contract Trainer at Blue Ridge Community College, former Program Manager and
    Instructor at Piedmont Virginia Community College, and Invited Program Developer, Facilitator, and
    Grant Reviewer of the Tibetan Entrepreneur Exchange Program through the University of Virginia, with
    apportioned funding by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Economic & Cultural Affairs, and has
    served toward the success of the City of Charlottesville Minority Business Programming. She is presently
    evoking excellence and innovatively upskilling personnel while enhancing the strategic objectives and
    core missions of entities in the Roanoke Valley region as the Administrative Officer for Training Solutions
    at Virginia Western Community College. Regina holds her BS in Occupational & Technical Studies-Adult
    Training Specialist from Old Dominion University and completed her graduate studies through Louisiana
    State University with two layers of credentialing: Educational Technology and Leadership/Human
    Resource Development.
