Education is the cornerstone of our society, shaping the minds of our future leaders and innovators. Few things are more important than investing in the education of our youth, and as a community, we have the power to make a significant difference in their lives. With this belief in mind, we are excited to announce our involvement in Giving Tuesday, an international day of charitable giving that takes place on November 28th.

Our mission on this special day is to raise funds for scholarships to support our Botetourt students. The scholarships are not simply financial aids; they are our investment in the future, a testament of our confidence in the potential of our students. By donating to our cause, you are directly contributing to the education of the upcoming workforce, providing them with the resources they need to excel in their chosen fields.

Every year, the Chamber awards four scholarships to graduating seniors. These scholarships are specifically awarded to one student each from James River and Lord Botetourt High School, Botetourt Technical Education Center, and a homeschool student. The scholarship recipients are selected based on their exceptional academic performance, leadership skills, and commitment to their community.

Each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship, which will be paid directly to the institution they are attending at the beginning of the school year. This financial support can make a significant difference in the lives of these deserving students, making their educational journey a little less stressful and a lot more rewarding.

We are accepting donations from now until the end of the day on November 28th. No amount is too small - every contribution makes a difference!
