VA811is a service provided to anyone that needs to dig. Whether you're a professional excavator, contractor or homeowner, you have an important role in preventing damage to underground utilities and protecting yourself. 

Contact Virginia811 to request utility line markings BEFORE YOU DIG to help avoid physical injury, property damages, costly repairs and service interruptions. They will come out and mark the area that is being excavated for utilities including: power lines, cables, telecommunication, natural gas, sewers and drain lines potable water, reclaimed water, irrigation, and proposed excavation limits or route. 

A ticket for service markings can be placed online at their website or by calling 811 or 1-800-552-7001.
