As an autism mother, author and clinician, Dr. Lintala has been immersed in the world of autism both personally and professionally for over twenty-five years. She volunteers her time at Autism Health, a center she founded that serves patients from 20 states and focuses on nonprescription approaches supporting vibrant health for children and adults on the autism spectrum.

Dr. Lintala is the author of an award-winning book, The Un-Prescription for Autism, which focuses on non-prescription support of the invisible medical problems of the autism spectrum that can so dramatically affect sleep, bowels, mood, language, and learning. She serves as Secretary for the West Virginia State Rehabilitation Council, and staffed the disAbility Awareness Challenge for the 2013 Scouts BSA National Jamboree and will do so again in 2023.

Dr. Lintala is the founder and President of The Un-Prescription Foundation for Autism, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization with an educational mission, and is also on the NCMIC Speakers Bureau, presenting from coast to coast on the specific health challenges of the autism spectrum and how to address them in the office.

Dr. Elizabeth Mumper is the former Medical Director of the Autism Research Institute and a pediatrician in Lynchburg. She wrote the forward to the book, The Un-Prescription for Autism.

Richard Kriner, M.S, CRC, PBSF, LPC, began working for DARS in 2002 as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with a specialty caseload in long-term mental illness. He has been an endorsed PBS Facilitator since 2013, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, ACRE Certified for Customized Employment, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Certified Provider for PEERS Young Adult Intervention. As a member of the VA DARS Central Office Statewide Training and Support team, Richard provides leadership and technical assistance on DARS Autism Services and Customized Employment Services. Richard has presented on Autism and effective vocational rehabilitation practices through state and national conferences, national webcast, and contributed to professional journals and practice briefs. At the state level he has played a key role with integrating findings from evidence based research into the VR program through the development and delivery of formalized trainings, policy development, and the implementation of new autism-focused service models.
